80 Years Journey of History & Faith
Sowing Seeds of Faith on the Banks of the Red River
The first seeds of the true Gospel were brought to the fertile So Thuong area along the Red River dyke by pioneering missionaries and Vietnamese evangelists. Starting with a few believing families who opened their homes for prayer and thanksgiving, simple songs of praise drove away the cold and poverty and lit the first lamp of truth in the village.
Standing Firm Through the Trials of War and Time
Through the great upheavals of war and years of scarcity, God's people in So Thuong stayed faithfully rooted in His Word. Even when forced to evacuate, the quiet prayer meetings in family homes never stopped — sharing every potato and bowl of rice, holding one another up through the storm.
Rebuilding the Sanctuary & Flourishing Ministries
The return of peace opened a period of strong revival. The congregation gave labour, bricks and tiles to repair and expand the place of worship. This period saw the lively founding of the Choir, the Youth Ministry and Sunday School classes nurturing the hearts of children.
Modern Transformation & Digital Media
Entering a new era, So Thuong Evangelical Church keeps renewing its approach to serve today's community — from youth music programmes, skills classes and children's clubs to online technology that carries the Gospel seed to thousands of hearts everywhere.
